If you love colors this is the club for you!


Every month there is going to be a new
color template,consisting of five colors, submitted for you to use.

The idea is for you to challenge yourself
by use of only these five colors in a deviant submission.

It can be anything from a drawing to a web design.
But you can only use the five colors provided.





To join the ~5colors club simply send a note with "join" as subject.

When you have become a member, you must put a link to the ~5colors frontpage in either your comment signature and/or at the bottom of each journal entry you make. If you remove the link, you will no longer be a member.

Linking in you comment signature: Write, : dev5colors : but leave out the spaces.

It will look like this: ~5colors .

Linking in your journal: Either write as above or,
: icon5colors : to get the 5colors avatar instead of a simple text link.
Again leave out the spaces.
(avatar linking does not work in comment signatures.)

The idea is (as said above) to only use the five colors provided for the current month. However, if you feel like that is impossible you can use slight shades of the colors. But preferably submissions should only consist of the exact five colors.

To make a submission to the club.
Start by submitting it to your own DA page,
then send a note to this account with a link to your submission.
Put "submission" as subject.
Then it will be uploaded to the ~5colors account with your name, avatar and a link to the original submission in the description.
Comments will be disabled.

And yes, you are allowed to submit more then one artwork to the same color template.




The idea for this club actually came from someone else.
I found a club like this one a few years ago,
back then I did not think of it as anything for me.
But now I do, I need a challenge!
So I tried to find that club again but failed miserably.
I can't remember which web site it might have been,
or the name of it.
And frankly I'm tired of looking.
So I decided to create one myself!
And if I had found it I would have either
asked for permission or joined that club.
So if the owner of that club sees this...
Hopefully you won't mind *crossing my fingers*.
